Australia’s current 2030 target of a 43 per cent reduction on 2005 levels is not adequate. Australia’s 1.5 pathway requires a 67% reduction relative to 2005 levels by 2030 and net zero by 2038, if we accept the approach to determining Australia’s fair share of the global approach applied in past reviews.
