1.5°C is still alive but only if countries step up

As a major fossil fuel exporter and one of the world’s highest per capita emitters, Australia is an important player in the global climate context. This article argues that while the target is aligned with scientific advice, real influence will come from how effectively Australia follows through, helping shape global confidence, ambition, and momentum in the lead-up to key climate milestones.
