The window to keep 1.5°C warming pathways in play is still open, but what nations do next is what matters. This article argues that while the target is aligned with scientific advice, real influence will come from how effectively Australia follows through, helping shape global confidence, ambition, and momentum in the lead-up to key climate milestones.
