Australia’s safeguard mechanism must be strengthened to drive emissions reductions at large facilities

Our submission to the Climate Change Authority’s review of the Safeguard Mechanism flagged that facilities should be prohibited from meeting their obligations through the use of offsets, if the scheme is to be effective.
