Assessing the size and uncertainty of remaining carbon budgets

Climate Resource Modelling and Data Director Zebedee Nicholls was involved in an updated assessment of the remaining carbon budget, i.e. how much more CO2 we can emit in total without exceeding key temperature limits such as 1.5C. This was published in Nature Climate Change in October 2023.
